Edgar Degas
Edgar Degas was a French painter and sculptor active from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. He is known as one of the leading Impressionist artists, but he described himself as a " realist " or " independent ." - Born July 19, 1834, in Paris, France, to a wealthy banking family.
