Maurice Denis(モーリス ドニ)
モーリス・ドニは、19世紀末から20世紀前半にかけて活躍したフランスの画家、美術理論家です。ナビ派の中心人物として、象徴主義や宗教的主題を、平面的で装飾的なスタイルで表現しました。彼の作品は、鮮やかな色彩と明確な輪郭線、そして宗教的なシンボリズムが特徴です。
モーリス・ドニ 経歴
- 1870年11月25日、フランス・グランヴィルに生まれる
- 1888年、パリに出てアカデミー・ジュリアンで学ぶ
- 1890年、ナビ派結成に参加
- 1890年代、宗教的主題や象徴主義的な作品を制作
- 1900年代以降、壁画や装飾芸術にも取り組む
- 1943年11月13日、パリで死去（享年72歳）
