Born July 12, 1884 in Livorno, Italy
In 1906, he moved to Paris and began his creative endeavors under the influence of Cubism and ethnic sculpture.
Established a distinctive style of portrait painting in the 1910s
He was hospitalized in 1914 and 1916, and died of pulmonary tuberculosis in 1920 (aged 35).
