David Cox Biography
- Born April 29, 1783 in Birmingham, England.
- He showed an interest in painting from an early age and taught himself how to paint.
- In 1804, he moved to London and worked as a stage painter.
- In the 1810s, he began to seriously produce watercolor paintings.
- From the 1820s onwards, he travelled around Britain and produced landscape paintings.
- In 1841, he became a full member of the Society of Watercolour Painters.
- He died in Birmingham on June 7, 1859, aged 76.
