Johan Thomas Lundbye
Johan Thomas Lonby (1818-1848) was a Danish painter and printmaker known for his realistic and detailed works depicting rural landscapes and animals. Born in the small Danish village of Ballebro, Lonby showed artistic talent from an early age and began studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1835.

- He showed a talent for painting from an early age and entered the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts at the age of 14.
- In 1839, he exhibited at the Salon de Paris for the first time.
- In the 1840s, he produced many works depicting Danish countryside landscapes and animals.
- Died on April 26, 1848, at age 29, during the First Schleswig-Holstein War.
