Cyprian Majernik Biography
Born on November 24, 1909 in Velike Kostriany, Slovakia. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague from 1927 to 1931. Lived in Paris from 1931 to 1932, where he was exposed to European modernism. Based in Prague, he became a representative painter of the "Generation 1909". Died in Prague on July 4, 1945 (aged 35).
