Born May 26, 1878 in Epsom, Surrey, England. Studied at the Slade School of Art from 1896 to 1899. Formed the Fitzroy Street Group in 1904. Formed the Camden Town Group in 1911. Died of pneumonia on March 27, 1914 (aged 35).

Gore's style and work
Gore's early works are characterized by bright colors and free brushstrokes influenced by Impressionism, but later, he was influenced by Post-Impressionism, and moved towards bolder colors and simplified forms. His works portray everyday scenes and people with a poetic and intimate touch.
Gore contributed to the development of the Post-Impressionist movement in Britain as a founding member of the Fitzroy Street Group and the Camden Town Group , which brought fresh air to the British art world at the time and had a major influence on artists who came after them.
