Auguste Rodin Biography

Born in Paris on November 12, 1840
In 1857, he entered the Petty School of Art to study sculpture.
In 1877, he began work on the marble sculpture "The Gates of Hell," which he continued to work on for the rest of his life.
In the 1880s, he produced a series of masterpieces, including marble and bronze statues.
Died on November 17, 1917 at his home in Paris (aged 77)
