Gustav Klimt

Gustav Klimt was an Austrian painter active in Vienna from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Born July 14, 1862 in Baumgarten, near Vienna, Austria
In 1876, he entered the Vienna School of Applied Arts and Architectural Decoration.
In 1883, he founded the Artists' Company with his brother Ernst and others, and worked on mural paintings and other projects.
In 1897, he founded the Vienna Secession and became its first president.
In the 1900s, he entered a period known as the "Golden Age" and established a decorative style using gold leaf.
Died in Vienna on February 6, 1918 (aged 55)
