Sandro Botticelli

Sandro Botticelli was a painter active in Florence during the Italian Renaissance in the late 15th century. He is one of the most representative artists of the early Renaissance, and under the patronage of the Medici family, he left behind many graceful and decorative works based on mythology and allegory, such as "Primavera" and "The Birth of Venus." His refined line drawings and elegant depictions of figures continue to fascinate people even today.

Born in Florence, Italy in 1445
In the early 1460s, he trained in the workshop of Filippo Lippi.
Around 1470, he became independent and established his own workshop.
1481-1482: He worked on the decoration of the murals in the Sistine Chapel in Rome.
From the 1490s onwards, he began to produce many works with religious themes.
Died in Florence on May 17, 1510 (aged 65)

Sandro Botticelli's painting style
