3. A perfect gift for art-loving loved ones
The notebook section has no lines, so it's also a great gift for art lovers who want to draw a little or carry a sketchbook with them!
It is printed on both sides so it can be opened either from the right or left.

Piero della Francesca
Piero della Francesca
Piero della Francesca was a painter and mathematician who was a representative figure of the early Italian Renaissance of the 15th century. He is known for his highly intellectual style, imbued with geometric order and a tranquil atmosphere, and his works exude a tranquil yet majestic monumentality.
Piero della Francesca Biography
-
He was born around 1415 in Borgo Sansepolcro (now Sansepolcro) in Tuscany.
-
There is a record that he worked as an assistant to the painter Domenico Veneziano in Florence in 1439 , where he came into contact with the advanced art of Masaccio and Fra Angelico.
-
In 1445 he was elected canon of his hometown Sansepolcro, and was contracted to paint a polyptych of the Virgin of Mercy for the city.
-
Between 1452 and 1466 he created the fresco series "Legend of the Holy Cross," considered his greatest masterpiece, in the Basilica of San Francesco in Arezzo.
-
From the late 1460s to the 1470s, he frequented the court of Federico da Montefeltro, Duke of Urbino, and produced works such as the Portrait of the Duke and Duchess of Urbino and the Brera Altarpiece.
-
In his later years , he gradually distanced himself from painting and devoted himself to writing theoretical books on mathematics and perspective, such as "Discourse on Arithmetic" and "Discourse on Perspective."
-
He died on October 12, 1492 in his hometown of Sansepolcro.

Piero della Francesca's art is deeply rooted in his background as a mathematician. His paintings are rigorously calculated based on linear perspective and geometry, constructing spaces of perfect harmony and balance. His figures are restrained from expressing emotion, exuding a three-dimensional, static presence (monumentality) like a sculpture.
His colors are bright and clear, and he creates a unique style that makes it seem as if the entire canvas is filled with a uniform light. This gives the world he painted a sense of stillness, as if time has stopped, and a universal, sublime atmosphere. This intellectual and orderly style of painting set him apart from the mainstream in Florence at the time, but was later rediscovered and highly praised by modern painters such as Paul Cézanne. His works are considered to be the pinnacle of the early Renaissance, embodying the fusion of art and science.
