Pierre Bonnard

Pierre Bonnard was a French painter active from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century, and one of the central figures of the Nabi movement. • Born October 3, 1867 in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France
• In 1888, he went to Paris to study law and art at the Academie Julian.
• In 1889, he participated in the founding of the Nabis movement.
• In the 1890s, he also produced commercial art such as posters and illustrations.
• Since the 1900s, he has mainly produced landscapes, still lifes, and nudes.
• In the 1920s, he moved to the south of France and painted many light-filled landscapes.
• Died on 23 January 1947 in Le Cannet (aged 79)
