Born on November 28, 1757 in London, England Started training as a printmaker at age 14 Entered the Royal Academy in 1780 Self-published "Poetical Sketches" in 1783 Published "Songs of Innocence" in 1789 Published "Songs of Experience" in 1794 Produced lengthy prophetic poems such as "Milton" and "Jerusalem" between 1804 and 1820 Died in London on August 12, 1827 (aged 69)
