Alexandra Exter

Alexandra Exter (1882-1949) was a progressive Belarusian painter, designer and decorator. She graduated from the Kiev Art School in 1906 and produced work strongly influenced by Cubism, Constructivism and Futurism. She exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1914 and worked as a scenographer from the 1920s onwards.

In 1907, he traveled to Paris and participated in the avant-garde art movement.

Moved to Paris in 1924
Died March 17, 1949, Fontenay-aux-Roses, France (aged 67)

She had a major influence on the art movement of the early 20th century, and her innovative expression continues to have a profound impact on contemporary art.
