Alexandra Exter
Alexandra Exter (1882-1949) was a progressive Belarusian painter, designer and decorator. She graduated from the Kiev Art School in 1906 and produced work strongly influenced by Cubism, Constructivism and Futurism. She exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1914 and worked as a scenographer from the 1920s onwards.

- Born on January 6, 1882 in Kirovohrad, Russian Empire (now Ukraine)
- Graduated from the Kiev Art School in 1906
- In 1907, he traveled to Paris and participated in the avant-garde art movement.
- Exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in 1914
- In the 1920s, he was active as a stage designer.
- Moved to Paris in 1924
- Died March 17, 1949, Fontenay-aux-Roses, France (aged 67)

Exeter's style and achievements
Her work is strongly influenced by Cubism, Constructivism, and Futurism, and is characterized by geometric forms, vivid colors, and dynamic compositions. She was active in a wide range of fields , including stage design, fashion design, and book design , and demonstrated her talents.
Her paintings fused abstract and concrete elements to establish her own unique visual language , and her stage art, with its innovative designs and sense of color, breathed fresh air into the theatrical world of her time.
As one of the leading Russian avant-garde artists, Exter 's work is included in museums around the world , including the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the Museum of Modern Art in New York . She had a major influence on the art movement of the early 20th century, and her innovative expression continues to have a profound impact on contemporary art.
