Leonardo da Vinci Biography

Born April 15, 1452 near Vinci, Tuscany, Italy.
Around 1466, he entered the workshop of Verrocchio in Florence and began his training as an artist.
Around 1482, he served Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, and was active in many fields, including painting and military technology.
1495-1498: Created "The Last Supper"
Around 1503, he began work on the Mona Lisa.
In 1516, he was invited by King Francis I of France to live at Clos Lane near Amboise.
Died at Crewe Hall on May 2, 1519, aged 67.
