Eric Lee Johnson (1908-1993) was considered one of the most accomplished artists of the 1950s. He spent much of his childhood in rural New Zealand where he developed a love of nature. As a young and talented artist, he soon discovered his own unique artistic style, which blended surrealism with nostalgia. His neo-romantic approach to art captured the hearts of many around the world.

Born 8 November 1908 in Suva, Fiji In the 1940s, he changed his name from Eric Johnson to Eric Lee-Johnson In the 1950s, he was recognized as one of the most accomplished artists in the world Died 24 May 1993 in New Zealand (aged 84)
