Yatsuo no Tsubaki
Tsubaki of Yao was an ukiyo-e artist active in the mid-Edo period. His real name is unknown, but he inherited the tradition of Kamigata-e and produced many sophisticated portraits of beautiful women and actors. In particular, his portraits of beautiful women, painted with detailed lines and vivid colors, captivated many people with their graceful figures and expressive expressions .
