Paul Klee Biography

• Born December 18, 1879 in Münchenbuchsee, Switzerland
• In 1898, he entered the Munich Academy of Fine Arts.
• In 1911, he formed the "Blue Rider" group with Wassily Kandinsky and others.
• In 1920, he became a teacher at the Bauhaus.
• In 1933, he was expelled from Germany by the Nazi regime and returned to Switzerland.
• Died June 29, 1940 near Locarno, Switzerland (aged 60)
