The Model Book of Calligraphy
The Mira calligraphiae monumenta (Calligraphy Specimen Book) is an illuminated manuscript produced in Vienna, Austria in the late 16th century. It is a masterpiece of Renaissance manuscript illumination, combining masterful calligraphy by Croatian-born calligrapher Georg Bokkaj with meticulous illustrations by Flemish painter Joris Höfnagel .

This work was produced under the patronage of Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand I and his grandson Rudolf II, demonstrating the importance of art in court culture.
