Born January 12, 1856 in Florence, Italy
In 1874, he moved to Paris and studied in the studio of Carolus-Duran.
In the late 1870s, he exhibited at the Salon de Paris and attracted attention.
In the 1880s, he moved to London and became a successful portrait painter.
In the 1890s, he returned to America and produced portraits and murals.
Since the 1900s, he has also been actively involved in watercolor painting.
Died April 14, 1925, London, England (aged 69)
