Born on July 18, 1877 in Gookum, Holland.
During her childhood she learned painting from her mother, who was an amateur painter.
He later went on to study woodblock printing at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague.
He began his career as a woodblock artist and illustrator in the early 1900s.
He died in The Hague on February 2, 1924 (aged 46).

Flaach's woodcuts are characterised by simple lines and delicate use of colour. Using plants, flowers, landscapes and other motifs, the beauty of nature is expressed in a poetic way. It is said to have been influenced by Japanese ukiyo-e, and there are oriental elements to it.

She produced many works during her lifetime, most of which were woodblock prints. He was active in a wide range of fields, including illustrating picture books and magazines.
